Patient policy records
The product has an insurance model and patient-insurance routes for storing and updating policy details. Staff can use those records during registration and billing review.
Eligibility status is not payer verification
The current verify_eligibility API action assigns a simulated status instead of contacting an insurer or clearinghouse. Until that implementation is replaced and validated, no status produced by that action should be used as proof of active coverage, deductible balance, referral requirements, or payment approval.
Confirm with the payer
Use the organization's approved payer channel to confirm coverage and benefits before making patient-care or financial decisions.
