The eMAR Workflow
- Scan Patient: Verify identity (Right Patient).
- Scan Med: Verify barcode on the packet (Right Drug, Dose, Route).
- Administer: Timestamp recorded automatically (Right Time).
Status Types
- Given: Successfully administered.
- Held: Patient refused or condition (e.g., Low BP) prevented admin.
- Late: Administered > 30 mins after scheduled time (requires reason).
Overdue Alerts
Tasks turn red and escalate to the Charge Nurse if medications are missed.
